Groundbreaking held to kick off construction of new Okeechobee High School

OKEECHOBEE, Fla. (CBS12) — The Okeechobee High School celebrated their groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday.
The ceremony took place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will kickstart the construction of the new high school, which will replace the old one, located at 2800 Highway 441.
CBS12 News previously reported in 2021, the campus would be 250,000 square feet and will be built behind the existing high school. The Morganti Group will be the company constructing the new high school.
