A long two-year project now complete, as the ribbon cutting marks the end of a project that will positively impact thousands. Martin County Fire Station #14 will support the surrounding neighborhoods and beyond, increasing service and response times. The one-story fire station contains three fire truck bays, eight dorm rooms with offices, separate captain and battalion chief quarters, a large commercial kitchen, and a gymnasium. The building features new communication systems for call alerting, a detached generator building, and a water retention system. This project was prioritized as Morganti International was prime on the $14 Million project in Palestine. Nowadays, untreated wastewater flows into an open stream, posing threats to public health and the environment and leading to social tensions. Over the next two years, the project will develop new sewer pipelines and upgrade the Irtah pump station to divert wastewater to oxidation ponds, eliminating the free discharge of over two million cubic meters of untreated sewage annually.

City of Houston Celebrates Opening of New Facility
The Morganti Texas Team and the City of Houston celebrated the
completion of the new Northeast Quadrant Building with a ribbon-cutting
ceremony. The new Northeast Quadrant Building is a 32,531-square-foot
administration and maintenance facility for the City of Houston, TX. The
steel and curtain wall building includes offices, storage, locker rooms,
break rooms, conference rooms, restrooms, six pump fueling stations, a
new weigh station, security fencing, and an auditorium.
One challenge of this project was that the existing building was
occupied and needed to remain fully operational until the new facility
was completed. The building will be certified LEED Silver.
